The
minimum device requirements for software to be used during the practical CAT and IT tests and examinations are stipulated by the curriculum. The requirements may be updated from time to time according to these specifications. The approved invigilator must ensure that computers are compliant with the practical test/examination guidelines and that all the required programs are installed on all computers to be used for the respective practical assessments.
It is the responsibility of the parent to provide the invigilator with clean flash drives before the examination to copy the work completed during the test or examination. Unless arranged otherwise with the invigilator.
Only approved hardware configurations and legal copies of software may be used. The software being used must be exactly as specified.
If a venue/invigilator uses different versions of the prescribed software, Impaq will not be held responsible for software problems/failures that may occur during the practical test or examination session.
Security measures to be taken include:
- Computer certification and verification of flash drives.
- Invigilation during the practical test or examination session.
One day prior to the practical test or examination, the venue and/or shared networks to be used during the session must be off-limits to all learners. Before the start of a practical session, the following must be checked to ensure it is in working condition:
- Electric cables and plugs
- Hardware and software
- Antivirus software - We strongly recommend using Microsoft Defender only, as other antivirus programs (such as McAfee or Avast) may block Delphi from compiling and running correctly.
