Is there an age limit for registration or is distance education also available for adults?

There is no age limit to enrol for matric. However, due to changes to the curriculum in 2008, Impaq cannot accept applications for Grade 11 and 12 if the previous grade (Grade 10 and 11, respectively) was completed before 2008. Affected learners may, however, enrol for Grade 10 with Impaq or the Impaq Online School.

If you are 21 years or older and have one of the below, you qualify for Adult Matric through College SA:
  1. General Education and Training Certificate or a
  2. Grade 9 (Standard 7) passed report
  3. A recognised equivalent at NQF level 1 with two official languages
