My child has EGD as a subject. Where can I find more information?

Grade 10 & 11 EGD 

If you have registered for hard copy (printed) or electronic books, you will receive: 

  1. A full workbook, including all formal assessments and practice drawings. This workbook is only available in hard copy.
  2. Hard copy assessment-only workbook, including all compulsory course drawings. You can also download course drawings from the Assessment screen on the Optimi Learning Portal (OLP). If you choose to print the course drawings, please ensure that they are printed in actual size (A3). 
  3. All compulsory facilitator and learner content will only be available electronically on OLP. Visit the Lessons screen to find:               
    1. Step-by-step videos with drawing instructions
    2. Step-by-step downloadable PDF with drawing instructions
    3. Learning aims for each drawing 
    4. Memos and 3D models for each lesson drawing  
    5. Quizzes and more
    6. Theory booklet loaded under welcome lesson on OLP
If you have selected the assessment only option, you will receive:

Each learner will receive the following resources: 
  1. A3 EGD Workbook for Grade 12 (HSE) This workbook is only available in hard copy.  
  2. A3 Assessment Package, containing all the course drawings to be completed and submitted 
  3. Grade 12 Learner Book (available electronically or in hard copy, depending on which option you selected upon registration). 
    1. Learners are expected to follow the lesson structure provided on the Optimi  Learning Platform (OLP) and adhere to the dates indicated. 
    2. Theory booklet loaded under welcome lesson on OLP 
Facilitators will receive the following resources: 
  1. A4 Memo Book for marking the daily development exercises in the learner workbook 
  2. Grade 12 Facilitator’s Guide (available electronically or in hard copy, depending on which option you selected upon registration). 
  3. The step-by-step explanation ebook. Take note that learners may also use and access the step-by-step explanation ebook  
If you have selected the assessment only option, you will receive:  
  1. Hard copy assessment-only workbook, including all compulsory course drawings. The assessment tasks (Course Drawings) cannot be printed from OLP. 
  2. All compulsory facilitator and learner content will only be available electronically on OLP. Visit the Lessons screen to find:
