What can I do if I want to improve my NSC results?

  1. You can apply online via SACAI’s website for your learner’s marks to be recounted/verified from 13 – 27 January 2026. The prescribed fee for re-checking marks is R283 (VAT incl.) per script. 
  2. You may apply for the remark of answer scripts from 13– 27 January 2026. You will need to apply online for each subject that you want to be remarked.  The prescribed fee for re-marking scripts is R632 (VAT incl.) per script. 
  3. Re-checked and remarked results are provisionally scheduled for release on 18 February 2026 and will be available on the SACAI website.
  4. SACAI allows for the viewing of remarks only. Applications for viewings open on 19 February 2026 and close on 26 February 2026 (no exceptions). The fee for viewing is R354 per script (VAT incl.) 
  5. May/ June examinations: If you want to register for the May/June to rewrite, please visit the SACAI website and follow the prompts. You will be advised to register and make payment via the website with a credit card. Applications for the May/June examinations open on Monday, 2 February 2026 and close on Friday, 27 February 2026.
  6. The candidate may repeat the year and register for the November examination through Impaq. The existing SBA mark can be used, or the candidate can redo the SBA to improve the marks.  
Please note that steps 1 to 4 can only be applied for through SACAI, which administers these options. Impaq is not involved in these steps.
